All software has bugs. Regrettably, YAKiToMe! is not no exception, but we're working hard on getting it right! Some of YAKiToMe!'s known bugs and workarounds are listed below. These are grouped according to the top navigational headings: Text To Speech, Podcast Library, Feedback, My Settings, and Groups.
Text To Speech
No known issues.
Podcast Library
- Pressing the Enter key on the keyboard doesn't run my search!
- Severity
- Medium
- Description
- Yes, this is a pain. This is a well-known browser problem. We have to change the way we handle comments in order to fix this problem.
- Workaround
- You have to press the "Search" button to run a search. Sorry.
- Search field is limited.
- Severity
- Medium
- Description
- Simple searches only are supported. Best results come from single-word searches, so choose your word carefully!
- Workaround
- N/A
- Javascript must be on to view comments
- Severity
- Fatal
- Description
- If you want to add comments to a source file, you need to have Javascript enabled, because comments are only accessible through a window that opens with Javascript. What our Wild Yak programmers have to do is implement the <noscript> tag for this page.
- Workaround
- None that we know of.
My Settings
No known issues.
Groups
- Delete button doesn't request confirmation
- Severity
- Low
- Description
- All delete image buttons delete without requesting confirmation. All delete buttons in the group section (and other sections) delete without requesting confirmation.
- Workaround
- Be careful when pressing delete buttons. Make sure you really mean it!
- Not every group feature is implemented
- Severity
- Low
- Description
- Some group features aren't implemented, yet, such as requiring permission from the group moderator to post a feed to a group. These will be implemented in due time as soon as they pop to the top of the priority queue.
- Workaround
- No workaround. Just use the Feedback Form to let us know you need these features implemented. Note: the only way for someone to join a private group is if the group is temporarily made public while the user in question joins. Subsequently, the group would be made private.
Feedback
